Time certainly does fly when you are having fun! We are gearing up for one of the best sales ever! We will be open on Thursday, October 13, Friday, October 14 and Saturday, October 15. We start @ 10:00 AM. and close @ 5:00 PM each day.
Wait until you see the barn all spiffed up for a combo of Christmas and Halloween! You will see that our treasure hunting paid off big time! One moment you will be inspired by the romantic display of silver and white Christmas decor, reminding you of days gone by. The next moment you will have to stifle your screams as the scary ghost (perhaps of Christmas past or maybe just a scary guy)peaks out at you from behind a door! We have learned to say “Trick or Treat” and “Merry Christmas” making a complete sentence.
Don’t miss the fall bounty of applesauce, jam, pickles and pumpkins! We don’t have any grapes but we do have an unusual display of grape vines! The vines are entangled with Halloween lights and make great ceiling decor. And the flowering cabbage is beautiful! I love it when the cabbage is still blooming as it peeks out from a snow bank! Hopefully, that won’t be any time soon.
Be sure and take a look at the trellis sculpture that is scattered throughout the barn. These pieces are done by a local artist. Each trellis is unique and skillfully finished. Each is truly a treasure!
If you are in the Dodgeville area this weekend you will enjoy the Annual Harvest Festival that is held at Spurgeon Vineyards in rural Highland. Southwestern Wisconsin is known for its beautiful country roads and none is more intriguing than the route that you will take to the vineyards!
Stop in at the barn on Wednesday evening, October 12 for an open house. We would love to enjoy all the lights and decor with you. It will be very informal, just drop in when you can. No sales at the open house, just fun, conversation and snacks! We hope to see you then!
Happy Shopping!
