Occupied Japan

japan2 japan

I love this display.  The delicate pieces that are from Occupied Japan are beautiful.  Each design is unique.  My sister, Ellen, contributed these pieces to our collection.   Hopefully she will have a few more to add to our collection since these are selling fast!

The Vintage Vestibule

Yesterday I visited the Vintage Vestibule in the Village of Montfort about 15 miles west of Dodgeville.  The Vintage Vestibule is located in an old church that has been completely refurbished.  I was awestruck when I stepped inside!  They have created a beautiful, serene little shop!  There is a beautiful “choir loft” that simply amazed me.  They feature antiques and vintage items that are beautifully and meticulously displayed.

Plan to visit this unique shop when you are in our area.  It is only open on Thursdays at this time, so be sure and plan ahead.  On your first step inside you will be drawn to the wonderful smell of hand poured soy candles.  All of the candles are made right there in the shop.  The candle making room is immaculate!   Everything has a place and everything is in its place.  What an amazing process!

The Vintage Vestibule is a family project.    Mom and her daughters will greet you with a friendly smile and a trip down memory lane.  You will immediately feel like you have known these talented folks for your entire life!

We are fortunate to be offering these luscious candles at The Rocking Horse Antiques and Collectibles.  You will be able to purchase them at our next sale that will be held on September 4, 5, and 6.  We look forward to seeing you then!
