MARY MARTIN WITH FRIENDS AND FAMILY ARE SENDING YOU WARM AND HAPPY WISHES FOR THIS HOLIDAY SEASON.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

Your Christmas shopping is completely finished, your gifts are all beautifully wrapped and placed under the tree, your baking is all done, your Christmas cards are all mailed and you are now busy deciding which linens to use on your dining room table for your big Holiday Dinner! What a wonderful feeling!!

But wait, I am thinking of June Cleaver! Now lets get back to the reality of it all……….

You did start your shopping earlier this year, December 20th to be exact. The gifts are beautifully wrapped only if you shopped at Kozelka Wall or Linens & Accents in Dodgeville. Or maybe you stopped at Mr. T’s to pick up those precious gas gift cards that teenagers love. And certainly your baking is finished since you secretly ordered dozens of cookies from Quality Bakery, another local business that we can’t seem to stay away from.

Linens on the dinning room table you say. I would love to do that again, but in all honesty I believe my family prefers to sneak food from the oven long before I pronounce it officially done! Thanksgiving dinner was marred this year when I produced the turkey from the oven. The legs were gone, the breast had been gouged and someone had robbed me of the gizzard! So I do not expect Christmas dinner to be any different from that with one exception……We are having ham instead of turkey.

In any case, it is my hope that you will all have a happy and safe Christmas with your friends and family. And if you don’t celebrate Christmas I hope that you have a safe and happy weekend with your friends and family.

Of course Mom always wants Santa to bring her a new vacuum.  See how happy Mom is downstairs at 5 AM, fully dressed and cleaning the floors before anyone else is even awake.  Make sure to re-up Mom’s OCD meds as well…

Love it!!!

ITS BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS…..

COLD OUTSIDE/HOT DEALS INSIDE!!

Thank you to everyone who helped to make this year a very memorible one! We loved forming new friendships as well as renewing old ones! I am always pleased when I get word that a former classmate is looking for me. Or when a customer says “don’t you remember me? I used to baby sit your kids!” And the customer who reminds me that she was in the same class as one of my kids! Let the conversing begin!!!

We have had such an ecletic collection of items in the barn this year. Two fireplaces (one of them an attractive industrial piece), lots of wicker, scary halloween items, a bright green kitchen cupboard set, a cream separator adorned with a beautiful pot of flowers, a sausage maker, birdhouses, many gorgeous old linen pieces, suit cases of every size and color, some beautiful upholstered chairs and some really fantastic table and chair sets, to name a few.

The consensus of all of us seems to be that we are sad that we have finished our sales for this year and on the other hand we are having visions of next year happily dancing in our heads already. We all have auctions and estate sales that we are anxious to attend.

Again, I can’t thank you enough for making this year a very special one for all of us in the barn! You braved the cold weather and that in and of itself is pretty darn remarkable to us.We look forward to seeing you in the spring! Stay healthy and happy!!

YES, ITS TRUE!!

I was pleased today to receive so many calls regarding yesterdays post about the Rocking Horse Antiques and Collectibles.

Yes, it is positively true! Everything that is not part of the barn is for sale at 50% off!! You asked if we have added any new items since our Oct. sale. Yes, we have. These are items that we did not have room for last month and some treasures that we have found since then. They are also at 50% off!! You wondered if we would have a sale in December. The answer to that is pretty simple………No sale in December, we’d all freeze!! There is no heat in the barn, so it would be pretty frosty! You also commented on the apple cider that we offered last month. I agree, it was pretty tasty! We will offer it
again at our November sale along with some great tasting petit fours.

Sales dates are November 17, 18 and 19. We will open at 10:00 AM and close at 5:00 PM. We are are looking forward to seeing you!
